Use of fire doors in buildings -

4.4.2.4.1 - Doorways
a) Exit doorways shall not be less than 1000mm in width, except assembly buildings where the 
minimum width shall not be less than 2000mm . Height shall be minimum 2000mm
b) Revolving doors can be used in means of egress provided they have break through feature or hinged 
door in the same wall within 3mts. c) All fire doors and assembly shall be provided with certificate and labels prominently indicating the 
 - Manufacturer identification
 - Door details (door type)
 - Serial /batch number
 - Month & year of manufacture
 - Fire rating
The doors & assembly shall be certified with all prescribed hardware, such as hinges, lock, panic bars, 
door closers & door viewers.
